KSEA Austin TX Chapter to host a face-to-face technical seminar at the University of Texas at Austin

The Austin TX technical seminar for scientists and engineers, held virtually for the past two The Austin TX technical seminar for scientists and engineers, held virtually for the past two years due to COVID-19, was held face-to-face at the University of Texas at Austin on March 25th, 2022. The seminar committee hosted Euijin Yang, Ph.D. Candidate (Civil Engineering, UT Austin). He shared his dissertation work to quantify the relation between population dynamics and the water infrastructure based on a structural hole influence matrix approach. Around 30 KSEA members, from undergraduate students to researchers and practicing engineers as well as graduate students, attended the seminar and actively shared their thoughts and perspectives on soon-to-be Dr. Yang’s research. The seminar was very impressive and informative because people from various fields shared their opinions and listened to others, Dr. Jae Hee Park, a new KSEA member, said. Followed by the seminar, Dr. In-Hyouk Song, the president of the KSEA Austin TX chapter, announced the registration of the Austin chapter as a non-profit organization. Mr. Joon Ho Sung, an NPO director of the KSEA Austin TX chapter, presented the process of NPO registration and the benefits of being an NPO. KSEA Austin TX chapter will continue to host a face-to-face technical seminar in the future and have an outdoor activity for members’ socialization soon.
