The National Math and Science Contest (NMSC) 2023

The National Math and Science Contest (NMSC) is one of the flagship events hosted by KSEA. The 2023 NMSC was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Traditionally, students from 4th grade to 11th-grade students have participated in the onsite exam at their prospective local chapter, but it was changed to an online format during the global pandemic (COVID-19) in 2021. The 2023 NMSC, however, was held in a hybrid (Online and Onsite) format to accommodate more students living in remote areas. About 1,200 students registered for the online and offline math contests to exercise the math skillsets for their future STEM careers. The award ceremony occurred online two weeks later (April 29, 2023) to recognize award winners from each division (4th – 6th lower division; 7th – 11th upper division).
