2023 KSEA Art Contest
The KSEA National Art Contest was held in Spring 2023 for K-12 students in the U.S. In March, the art theme “50 years later” was announced through the email advertisement and the event website http://art.ksea.org.
130 students were registered in the contest, and 80 students submitted their work in April. In the artwork, the participating students visualized their imagination on the future life with science and technology. The KSEA art committee recruited 6 art professionals as judges. 6 more judges were invited from the KSEA personnel groups such as admins, volunteers, and staff. Through the judging process, five top entries for each division were chosen. 20 award winners from 4 divisions (elementary 1, elementary 2, middle, and high) were selected.
In May 20, 2023, the online award ceremony was held in Zoom. Dr. Clara Choi at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley made a congratulatory speech as one of the judges. 20 award winners were announced in the ceremony.
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place winners in each division received the certificate of award and the prize money $300, $200, $100, $50, and $50, respectively. The KSEA gave the honorarium $150 to each judge. In the award ceremony, we had the raffle event, and sent $25 gift cards to 10 raffle winners.
