The Southwest (SW) Ohio Korean Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) chapter warmly hosted its annual Fall picnic, extending a heartfelt welcome to new members and colleagues in our region. This delightful gathering took place at Swaim Park in Montgomery, Ohio, on a sunny Saturday, September 16th, 2023, from 11:30 am to 3 pm. With a vibrant turnout of 63 attendees, which included both family and friends, this event served as an excellent platform for fostering communication and new connections. Most of our members consist of researchers and academics who are affiliated with institutions such as the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Miami University, Northern Kentucky University, and the University of Cincinnati. Against the backdrop of a beautiful park, the day was marked by delicious Korean cuisine, engaging games, and most importantly, the joyful company of fellow professionals and children having fun. This event served as a launching pad for our academic year 2023-2024, offering an opportunity to introduce our chapter’s mission and outline the exciting lineup of annual events in the pipeline. In essence, it was a highly productive networking occasion, enabling us to reconnect with longstanding members and extend a warm welcome to new acquaintances. Our annual picnic was a resounding success, strengthening bonds within our community and enhancing the sense of camaraderie that defines our SW OH KSEA chapter.
