Chicagoland Year-End Party

The year-end party was a resounding success, with an impressive turnout of over 70 attendees from KSEA Chicagoland members and their significant others. The event commenced with a productive general assembly meeting, followed by an exciting program featuring the Scholarship award ceremony, a delightful dinner, engaging networking sessions, and entertaining games. This occasion provided a valuable opportunity to promote KSEA to the public and express gratitude towards local supporters and past chapter presidents. We were honored to have the presence of esteemed guests, including the 51st KSEA President Young-Kee Kim and the 27th-28th Chapter President Hoydoo You, who shared cherished moments with us. Notably, the family of NMSC 6th grade awardee Nathan Park attended, seeking inspiration from brilliant scientists and lifelong mentors. The high school scholarship was awarded to two exceptional students, Leah Chung from Libertyville High School, and Tiara Sung from Metea Valley High School, both displaying unwavering commitment to pursuing higher education in computer science and biochemistry. Moreover, this year witnessed the successful relaunch of the Chicagoland website, thanks to the support of KSEA HQ ITM Joseph, which can be accessed at chicagoland.ksea.org. We also took this opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the local student association group (Seok-Gyeong Yoon(UoC), Youngjo Choi(IIT), Hayoon Choi(UIC)) and the YG group (Grace Rye, YG President), whose dedicated efforts greatly facilitated chapter events and fostered a sense of unity within our community.
