KWiSE (Korean-American Women in Science and Engineering) Annual Conference 2023

The 2023 Annual Korean-American Women in Science and Engineering (KWiSE) Regional Conference took place across four chapters (New York/New Jersey, Southeastern, Texas, National Institute of Health/District of Columbia) from October 12 to November 4, 2023. With over 120 participants from these chapters, the conference provided a platform for exchanging the latest research trends in various science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields among Korean-American women scientists and engineers. Attendees not only enjoyed networking opportunities but also engaged in valuable mentoring interactions, both giving and receiving, involving current and new KWiSE members. The conference played a pivotal role in promoting scientific collaboration, as well as facilitating career development and mentoring for Korean-American women scientists in STEM. Beyond this, the event aimed to recruit new members into KWiSE and foster strong connections among active participants, enabling them to better serve their respective communities at individual chapters.
