On Saturday, April 13th, 2024, the Southwest (SW) Ohio (OH) KSEA conference convened at the University of Cincinnati Health Science Center. Running from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, this event served as a platform to cultivate communication and collaboration among our local chapter colleagues. A total of 30 members participated in this event contributing to a diverse range of discussions. We also hosted a lunch break discussion titled “Ideas for outreach programs to serve our community”. This brainstorming session generated numerous potential initiatives to benefit our community, including the possibility of incorporating a ‘Careers in STEM’ seminar into the 2025 National Math Competition. In addition, we discussed refining the program details of ‘Fun with Korean’ events targeted at young children, which we launched in 2023-2024 academic year. Overall, the conference proved to be an excellent opportunity for networking, sharing insights about individual research areas, and fostering potential collaborations. The information and ideas shared at this conference will undoubtedly enrich our future endeavors.
