The 2024 KSEA National Art Contest was held in the spring for K–12 students across the United States. In March, the theme “Beyond Reach” was announced via email and posted on the official event website: https://art.ksea.org.

By May, 140 students had submitted their artwork, creatively interpreting visions of a new world shaped by science and technology. To evaluate the submissions, the KSEA Art Committee assembled a panel of eight professional art judges, along with eight additional judges from the KSEA community, including administrators, volunteers, and staff.

Each of the four divisions—Elementary 1 (K to 2nd grade), Elementary 2 (3rd to 5th grade), Middle School (6th to 8th grade), and High School (9th to 12th grade) was reviewed by a pair of dedicated jurors. From the entries, five outstanding submissions per division were selected, resulting in a total of 20 awardees.

Each division awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, as well as Honorable Mentions. The winners were officially announced on the 2025 KSEA Art Contest Awardees page. All submissions were also featured in a digital flipbook, celebrating the creativity and artistic talent of students from all grade levels.

Winners received certificates and monetary prizes: $300 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd. The 4th and 5th place recipients were honored with certificates for Honorable Mention. In recognition of their contributions, each judge received an honorarium of $150.
